he Aigle de Nice is a French non-profit organization registred in Nice. It was founded in 1988 by the famous french variety song writer and singer Alain Bideaux, who is still the Executive President.

Since 1998, the Aigle de Cristal occurs every 4 years. Only previous winners of the Aigle de Nice Grand Prize are able to participate and the competition has a given theme.
