The exhibition of the artworks of the artists competing in the 32nd Aigle de Nice Grand Prix was held in the Club House of Saint-Laurent-du-Var's Port.
Opened on 26th October, it unfortunately had to close prematurely on 30th October following the French government's announcements introducing the 2nd containment plan to fight against the Covid19 pandemic.
As a consequence of these measures, the Board of Directors of the Aigle de Nice had to take the difficult decision to shorten the 32nd Grand Prix.
As the Jury did not have time to meet and judge the works, there has been no delivery of any Aigle de Nice d'Or, d'Argent or de Bronze Prizes this year.
Only the following prizes were awarded in "Painting & Art Photos" and "Sculpture" categories:
- 3 Audience Special Awards Online for which we received nearly 5,000 votes
- 2 Founder's Originality Awards
- 3 Special Confinement Awards, offered exceptionally by President-Founder Alain Bideaux and rewarding the exceptional value of the overall work of 3 Artists

A few words from the President & Founder
What a miserable year!
The 32nd Aigle de Nice and the exhibition of works in competition took place this year, again in Saint-Laurent du Var on the magnificent Port in the Club House.
Thirty-two years of existence, where we had started with the encouragement of Mr. Jacques MEDECIN, former Mayor of Nice, President of the Alpes-Maritimes General Council.
We deplore the flooding caused by the Alex storm in the Valleys of Vésubie, Tinée and Roya but a very great solidarity took place to help the victims.
Just like the Coronavirus Covid 19 which takes thousands of innocent lives, I am terribly touched by it to such an extent that I have created a song entitled "Coronavirus", thanks to André FISICHELLA for the Music.
This year is a truly miserable year, one of the worst known in 78 years of my sacred life. Researchers must be encouraged to find a vaccine that will stop this damn virus.
Because of this Covid 19, I had to cancel the summer exhibitions and I had almost cancelled this 32nd Edition but, thank God, I was able to keep it. But we will have to be doubly vigilant.
I hope that 2021 will be better.
A big thank you to the Vice-President Evelyne GREZES, to our Secretary Venus DREAMS, to Alain BENEDETTO, to Carlos GASPAR and Marilyn McQUEEN, administrator, Josseline and Paul-Louis REBORA, Administrator, without forgetting Estelle and Lydie for the great help for the hangings.
Thanks also to our Japanese partner for nearly 25 years, Masashi YOKOYAMA from Osaka.
Unfortunately, for this year, we had some restrictions for the duration of the Grand Prix: Cocktails were cancelled as well as the closing dinner. Invitations were limited and the Public Prize in the hall was replaced by the online one on the website www.aigledenice.com, which allowed the Public to vote for the 2 categories Painting/Art Photos and Sculptures in 2 separate galleries, thanks to the work of our development engineer, M. BOAS.
The number of connections across the 5 continents is growing day by day: 1.7 million unique visits since the creation of the website!

The 31th edition of the Aigle de Nice International took place from October to November 9th, 2019 at the Club-House of Saint-Laurent-du-Var's port.
This 2019 edition was placed under the High Patronage of Mrs. Pari Ravan, sculptor,Mr. Alain Benedetto, Painter and Mr. Masashi Yokohama, President of Osaka, Japan-based International Art Council organization.
The exhibition opening ceremony took place on November 2rd in the effective presence of Mr. Joseph Segura, Mayor of the city and Vice-President of "Nice Métropole" and his Deputy Mr. Albert Besson. The presence of Mr Richard Conte, Municipal Councilor of Villefranche-Sur-Mer was noticed.The award ceremony of L'Aigle de Nice took place on the 9th of November under the leadership of its President-Founder-Commissioner General, Alain Bideaux. Mr. Joseph Segura, Mr. Albert Besson and Mr. Richard Conte have attended the ceremony as well.
Administrator of the Aigle de Nice present except the President already mentioned: Evelyne Grezes, Vice-President, Guillemette and Caroll'Ann Bideaux, Paul-Louis Rebora, Nicolas Greze and the Jury Members: Roger Vivès, President of the 2019 Edition, Nathalie Matheudi , Denise Gay, Christian Brizion, Jacques Vallero and André Poissy.
The Gold Award "Aigle de Nice d'Or" 2018, category Painting, was won by Allaisa Vostryakova (Ukrain) and by Stanko Kristic (Serbia) for the category Sculpture.
The Jury and the audience visiting the exhbition came to the same conclusion as these two Artists also won the Audience Award

And now the 31st edition of our annual International Grand Prix ends. We are already looking forward to meeting you again next year but above all, we would like to thank you all for your support.
So a big THANK YOU to all the participants, to our fabulous Jury team, to the visitors and to the public during the opening and the awards ceremony.
A huge THANK YOU to Mr. Segura (Mayor of Saint-Laurent-du-Var), to Mr. Besson (Deputy Mayor of Saint-Laurent-du-Var) and to Mr. Conte (Municipal Councilor of Villefranche-sur-Mer ) for their presence and all their support throughout the Grand Prix but also during the year.
We are very pleased with this edition which ended in style with the gala dinner organized at the Restaurant le Plaisance where we were warmly welcomed by the owner Christian.

The 30th edition of the Aigle de Nice International took place from October 30th to November 10th, 2018 at the Club-House of Saint-Laurent-du-Var's port.
This 2018 edition was placed under the High Patronage of Mrs. Mick Micheyl, variety artist and steel engraver, Mr. Jean-Paul de Bernis, President of the Académie Mérite et Dévouement Français and Vice-President of the Académie Arts-Sciences-Lettres (Arts-Science-Literature Academy), Mr. Masashi Yokohama, President of Osaka, Japan-based International Art Council organization.

This 30th edition was also the moment to celebrate the millionth unique visitor of the site since 2004, date from which the visitors were listed. This million visitors was distributed in 170 countries around the world.
The exhibition opening ceremony took place on November 3rd in the presence of M. Albert Besson, Deputy of M. Joseph Segura, Mayor of Saint-Laurent-du-Var.
The award ceremony of L'Aigle de Nice took place on the 10th of November under the leadership of its President-Founder-Commissioner General, Alain Bideaux, best known as an author-composer and singer of varieties and under the Patronage of Mr. Jean-Paul de Bernis, President of the "Académie Mérite et Dévouement Français", also present.
Administrator of the Aigle de Nice present except the President already mentioned: Evelyne Grezes, Vice-President, Guillemette and Caroll'Ann Bideaux, Paul-Louis Rebora and the Jury Members: Alain Benedetto, President of the 2018 Edition, Daniel Curzi , Christian Brizion and André Poissy.
A large audience came to encourage the Artists to the musical sound of the Alain Rattier's Jazz Band and in the effective presence of Mr. Joseph Segura, Mayor of the city and Vice-President of "Nice Métropole" and his Deputy Mr. Albert Besson. The presence of Mr Richard Conte, Municipal Councilor of Villefranche-Sur-Mer was noticed.
The Gold Award "Aigle de Nice d'Or" 2018, category Painting, was won by Jacques Vallero (France Nice) with 700 points and by Fabien Juan (France Nîmes) for the category Sculpture with 900 points.
The Jury and the Public have come to an agreement since these two Artists have also won the Special Prize of the Public

The 2nd prize, the "Nice Silver Eagle" was awarded to Karim Benchebra for the graphic design and to David Chaine for his sculpture.
As for the 3rd prize, the bronze "Nice Eagle" was awarded to Christine Saint Laurent, Painter and Barcelona's Teddy Cobena, Sculptor.
The Online Public Prize went to Yolande Meschi (Painter) and the Special Prize of the Public City of Nice to Painter Jacques Vallero and Sculptor Fabien Juan.

The word of the President of the Jury:
The 30th "Aigle de Nice" Arts competition has just ended, it was a very beautiful show with quality works
I had the honor of chairing a jury of ten personalities from the Art and the Press who independently eestablished the palmares of the presented works and only the result of the addition of points made the ranking
Logical palmares which was also the choice of the public who voted throughout the course of the exhibition.
Of course the unrequited artists have been disappointed, but I invite them to motivate themselves to excel in their work in order to present in the future new works as the winners of this year who after several participations have remained on the sidelines.
After persevering and renewing in their works, they resulted in the result that all artists are hoping for.
So motivate yourself! and tthe "Aigle de Nice" will still be there to promote your talent.

This highly prestigious Art contest only occurs every 4 years. It has been created by Alain Bideaux in 1998. Only the Artists that already won an Aigle de Nice Prize since 1988 are able to register and become the Champion of the Champions.
The theme of the 6th edition was "Sports in the World"
The Award ceremony took place on the 8th of September 2018 in Saint-Laurent-du-Var in the presence of the Honorary Patron, Jean-Paul de Bernis.
The winner of the 6th edition of the prize is the painter Evelyne DOUBLET for her artwork "Turbulences".
Hervé SECOND has received the Special Jury Prize for his sculpture "Origin of Sport"
The guests who exhibited in support of the candidates are: Claude Gauthier (Monaco), Painter and President of the Jury; Alain Benedetto; Paul-Louis Rebora and André Poissy, 5th "Aigle de Cristal" 2014 without forgetting our Honorary Patron Mick Micheyl.
